Nancy is a passionate person who has a particular interest in neuroscience and joint arthrokinematics . As a PT, they have sought out work in various unique settings to be able to meet a wide range of needs, especially in rural areas. Nancy Foesier is a physical therapist whose treatment approach uses collaborative goal setting to help make movement a positive part of your day. Nancy is passionate about maintaining confidence with movement & supporting goals with mobility.
You can expect to leave your sessions with relevant education, some nerdy anatomy facts, and a unique treatment plan catered to you. Their environment-based treatment approach often incorporates play & creative balance tasks to keep your rehab engaging and functional.

Nancy continues to cover the general scope of primary PT care including musculoskeletal conditions, post operative care, and she has advanced training in acute knee assessments.
Areas of interest is a way of saying "this is really cool to me" and here I highlight how I have taken extra time to learn about in my life and to help support my patients quality of care

Nancy has gained experience in sub-acute stroke rehabilitation settings optimizing the window of opportunity after a stroke. They are familiar with stroke survival, descending neural pathways and the endless intrigue of neuroplasticity.

Fear of falls
Falls continue to be a leading cause of injury. Keeping your confidence and strength up is important prevention along with knowing how to safely get up from the floor from a fall should it happen
Pediatrics
New born to Teens
Nancy has supported rehab including torticollis, plagiocephaly, gross motor delays and is familiar supporting neurodiverse kids. She is well informed on milestones and various pediatric conditions such as Osgood Schlatters.

Community Falls Prevention
Teach and assist with weekly group exercise class focused on improving balance and reduce falls. Help to build confidence with walking and transfers. Created seated exercise program and learnt how to improve balance outcomes under supervision of Connie Harrison in Camrose AB

Virtual Aphasia Camp
A weekend full of accessible activities for people living with aphasia. Multidisciplinary (SLP/OT/PT) collaboration was a lovely part of the "camp" experience. Nancy applied their supportive communication skills while leading a hand putty exercise program. "Sylvan Lake" - AB

Hand Bracing & Care
Experience building custom braces for various acute finger, hand and thumb injuries. Detailed care management plans & prioritization for rehab with a focus on prognosis & healing timelines for various fractures. Course based lab presented and taught by Mark Larbrentz
